How faithful are the edits? (honest fidelity note)

Your original PDF content is preserved untouched. Edits are applied as precise overlays, exactly how browser-based PDF editors work. Replaced text is re-drawn at the exact same size and position using the closest standard font (Helvetica, Times or Courier family), because an embedded subset font cannot be re-used for new characters in the browser. For most documents the result is visually indistinguishable; decorative custom fonts will fall back to the nearest standard look-alike.

Your PDF never leaves the device. Original page content stays byte-identical: edits are applied as precise overlays. Replaced text uses the closest standard font (Helvetica / Times / Courier); sizes and positions are matched exactly.
